Dr.

Margaret McDill

Apostle Dr. Margaret McDill is one of the most prominent women pastors in the South. Apostle Dr. Margaret McDill was born on October 6, 1937 to Helen and Gabe Shack in a little community called Needmore in Talladega, AL. She trail blazed the way for other women pastors to stand up and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ at a time when women were not always recognized by the church, she stood tall in the knowledge that God had called her to the ministry.

In 1969, she received the gift of the Holy Ghost at the age of 32. One year later, God spoke to her and told her that he had anointed her to preach the Gospel. She began her ministry at a little house on Turner Mill Road where many souls were filled with the Holy Ghost. Soon that little place got crowded and she moved to the providence community on Winter Haven Rd., where she preached out 55 souls. She built her first church off of Jackson Trace Rd and the Lord gave her the name "Miracle Prayer House."

She has since founded many other missions and churches during

the course of her ministry; in Lineville, Ashland, AL, Detroit MI, Talladega,

AL, Huntsville, AL Cincinnati, OH, Tanna, AL, Barfield, AL Alpine, AL and two locations in Anniston, AL previously on 1504 Brown, Ave and where she presently presides on 2100 Gurnee Ave.

She is a respected Pastor of the community and On Sept 12, 2011, through the guidance and supervision of the Holy Ghost, Apostle Dr. Margaret McDill, wrote her first book entitled "Born Out Of Due Time." This literary accomplishment portrays her life before she was saved and also the events that led her to make Jesus her Lord and Savior.

On October 6, 2015 she received an Honorary Doctorate of Humanitarian Degree from the Dom Training Center in Childersburg, AL, where Apostle Dr. Billie Crawford is Dean, for her unwavering work in feeding, housing and clothing people in this community and surrounding areas, and ministering God's word to the lost. (Pastor Mary Pearson along with Sis Chantell Bean were instrumental in seeing that our Pastor received this Degree)

On October 6, 2017, on her 80th birthday celebration she was given the key to the City of Anniston, by Councilman Ben Little and Councilman David Reddick

On November 4, 2018, she received her second Honorary Doctorate of Christian

Counseling Degree, from the Los Angeles Development Church and Institute in Los Angeles California, from Elder and Evang. Jones of Anniston, AL. (Her neighbors)

On February 8, 2019, because of her faithfulness to God and love for his people in the Anniston community and surrounding area, Apostle Dr. Margaret McDill was honored once again by having her name added to 2100 - 2200 Gurnee Avenue as "Honorary Pastor MoDill Blvd." Councilman Ben Little, and Councilman David Reddick along with Mayor Jack Draper and other city council members voted unanimously in favor for the street sign to be put in her name.
